Welcome to Erie KTC!
Erie Karma Thegsum Chöling is a Vajrayana Buddhist meditation center in the Tibetan Karma Kagyu tradition under the guidance of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje. We serve the Erie, Pennsylvania community.
The center provides weekly chanting, meditation, class or book study and discussion on Sundays, in addition to special programs and events.
Weekly meetings and special events are always open to interested members of the public.
Our center began with a visit from Lama Kathy Wesley in 2003. Within a couple of weeks of her inspiring trip to Erie, a sangha was meeting that later became the Erie Karma Kagyu Study Group.
In December 2007, the study group became Erie KTC, officially affiliated as a center with Karma Triyana Dharmachakra in Woodstock, NY. The Karma Kagyu lineage is grounded in Tibetan Buddhism and the head of the lineage is His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje.
Erie KTC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering the Dharma (the teachings of the Buddha) to anyone with an interest.
Erie KTC is no longer located in the Neighborhood Partnership Center. We are currently meeting at:
